Charles Henry Gimingham OBE FRSE FIBiol, born 28 April 1923, is a British applied botanist, Patron of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management, past President of the British Ecological Society, and a world authority on heathlands and heathers.

Gimingham is the son of Conrad Theodore Gimingham, of Harpenden, Hertfordshire, and Muriel Elizabeth (née Blake).〔(GIMINGHAM, Prof. Charles Henry ) at xreferplus.com from Who's Who online (accessed 11 November 2007)〕 He was named after his grandfather, another Charles Henry Gimingham, an eminent British entomologist who was President of the Association of Applied Biologists.
